Yes, you read that right - City Council Tells KFI To Hire Non-White Staff . Surprisingly the headline was from huffington post, a liberal website, and caught my eye. When I clicked on the link I saw the headline changed to "City Council Resolution Tells KFI To Hire More Racially Diverse Hosts". I guess the original headline was too much for the libs to handle.

Just three days after singer Whitney Houston passed away, KFI AM hosts John and Ken dismissed her as nothing more than a "crack ho." Nearly one month later, the LA city council is pondering whether to take an official stance against the slurs uttered that day.

The fact is, she was a crack ho. One that sold millions of records. So, was she a singer, or a crack ho? I think she was both, so what's the problem here?? The truth hurts.

Councilmembers will vote Wednesday on a resolution asking Clear Channel and KFI to "do everything in their power to ensure that their on-air hosts do not use and promote racist and sexist slurs over airwaves."

I know it's LA, and the socialists have nothing better to do than spread their agenda but isn't there ANYTHING else that needs to be fixed in the city besides writing some nonbinding resolution about a radio station hiring nonwhites?? Maybe gang violence, drugs, human trafficking, etc.

The resolution states that the best way to combat racism at KFI is to hire more non-white individuals. It reads, "a truly diverse work environment must include the hiring of a work force that reflects the diversity of Los Angeles which includes women, African Americans, Latinos, and Asians."

I suppose those are the only groups of people that matter, right? It's not racist at all to single out four different races and ignore the others. What about arabs, and both kinds of indians? Where are the eskimos? A truely "diverse" work environment would hire based on ability and not race at all, if there are no blacks capable of yelling into a microphone with any intelligence at all so be it.

Councilwoman Jan Perry wrote the March 7 motion, and the other two African American council members, Bernard C. Parks and Herb Wesson Jr., seconded it.

AHA! I think we've found a couple of anti-white racists! A black wants to waste time on this bs and a couple of other blacks second the motion. Again, where are the eskimos?? Why are blacks always mad when White people have jobs? Sorry you could only be a councilwoman and not a radio personality, that rap career didn't pan out I guess!

Highlighting KFI's lack of on-air diversity, Perry wrote, “Clear Channel Media Holding’s commitment to diversity is not being realized at its flagship station KFI 640 AM, where out of 15 on-air personalities, one is a female and none of them are African American," NBC reports.

It's worth pointing out that even politically-correct LA public radio station, KPCC, needs to increase its on-air diversity. With all four of its public affairs program hosts being white, the station is currently in search of a Latino host to add to the station's morning program.

Despite some free speech concerns being raised online, the resolution is expected to pass. The question is whether the measure, without any real teeth, is just symbolic, as appeared to be the case with the city's boycott of Arizona businesses.

Again, don't hire based on ability, hire based on race and then call the White people racists for not hiring nonwhites with less ability. It's all the White man keeping ya down!

Even if it is just symbolic, Perry, Parks and Wesson may think the resolution is worth their time because of the influence that KFI has. Just last month, the station retained its top spot as the most-listened-to radio station in LA, with 1.46 million listeners per week, the Los Angeles Times reports. Despite being taken off the air from Feb. 16-27 for the offensive Houston remark, "The John and Ken Show" was the third most-listened-to show in the weekday 3-7 p.m. time slot.

UPDATE: The city council voted to approve the resolution, 13 to 2, Perry's press secretary told HuffPost. Council members Joe Buscaino and Mitchell Englander voted no. The council also included a "friendly amendment" from Council member Dennis Zine to extend the resolution to all LA radio and television stations. The amendment urges "all management of radio and television stations in Los Angeles to do everything in their power to ensure that their on-air hosts do not use and promote racist and sexist slurs over public airwaves in the City of Los Angeles."

I guess even in LA people want to hear the truth, that crack  . s are just that. At least two councilmen had the balls to vote NO on this bs.

Exactly. That's what FREEDOM means. If I own a business I should be able to hire/fire/serve whoever I want without anyone in the government, at any level, forcing me to do anything or even passing some useless resolution telling me what I should be doing. How do people still think they're free when they read this bs??
